Solar (or wind) on a Stick

“Solar on a Stick” (SS) and “Wind on a Stick” (WS). Maybe we could put the solar project on the La Entrada campus ($20K) and Wind at Las Lomitas ($5K). If we get the PG&E rebate, then in 2009 we could put SS at Las Lomitas and install WS at La Entrada. We could also do fundraisers at school events selling things on a stick (popsicles, corn dogs, frozen bananas).

Cost – 20K but can apply for PGE grant

Benefit – produces electricity, reduces some electricity cost. Teaches students about solar technology. Could lead to more use of solar in community
